Here are some guidelines to help as you prepare your items for the sale. Click here to see what is acceptable and not acceptable for the sale.

Supplies Needed

HANGERS – in order to protect your clothing items we only accept plastic hangers. Find plastic hangers at Wal-Mart, Target, Dollar Stores. Retail plastic hangers are acceptable too.

STRING TAGS – Avery White Marking Tags Strung (size 1.75 x 1.093 inches) are required on each item to affix our barcode labels to. You can find these at Wal-Mart, office supply stores, the Rhea Lana Store or large quantities may be purchased from Amazon.

You’ll also need re-sealable bags (for shoes, small toys, etc…), masking tape, scotch tape, sharpie, and safety pins. For large quantities of quality safety pins we recommend ordering from Cleaners Supply .

If you would like to print your barcodes at home you’ll need adhesive address labels size 1” X 2 5/8” (30 up). We recommend ordering from Amazon Here. Please note: all labels printed at home MUST be printed in color.

Clothing

The better they look, the better they sell! Please take time to wash and iron your clothes if necessary. Please check for stains, broken zippers, torn hemlines, etc. We will be double checking at the store and will not receive any item that is not in excellent condition. Use children's plastic hangers for sizes 10 and below. Use larger plastic hangers for sizes 12 and above. You may also use wire coated hangers as long as they are 'size appropriate.' No metal hangers, please! Plastic and wire-coated hangers can be purchased at discount stores. This makes shopping more pleasant for everyone!

Spring/Summer Boy's & Girl's clothing (All Clothing must be seasonally appropriate, less than 2-3 years old, clean and odor-free. Outdated clothing does not sell.) We will take pants, jeans, khakis, jackets, shorts, shoes, dresses and Spring/Summer themed outfits. (Save heavy coats and boots for the Back-to-School/Fall Sale)

Junior sizes in teen styles. (seasonally appropriate). Please, do NOT send us adult clothing. We will not be able to enter it.

Infant clothing � (Price competitively - it's abundant!)

Spring/Summer shoes and sandals in excellent condition

Baby equipment (strollers, high chairs, pack n' plays, swings, bouncy seats) BIG BIG Sellers - Please be sure to get these items in our Event - these items add big $$ to your paycheck!

Children's furniture

Car seats with a manufacture date of 3/1/19 or later (We also have a waiver that you will need to complete.)

Nursery accessories

High quality toys, books and video games

Sports equipment and accessories

Maternity clothing -in style and in good condition, nursing tops, bras and other related items.

We accept ALL appropriate costumes. Please group items together so that they will equal a value of at least $4.00. They may be pinned together on a hanger.

All pants/shorts/bottoms must be pinned to a hanger, not folded over, as they tend to end up on the floor.

Safety pin all sets and accessories securely together. With pants hung on the back of the shirt at the hanger. Both pieces need to be viewable without unpinning them.


We do have a limit of 1200 items PER CONSIGNOR NUMBER. We will happily accept more than 1200 items of yours but you will be charged additional consignor fees accordingly.

Shoes

Please only bring your like-new shoes! Shoes are difficult to tag. First, put your consignor number and price on masking tape on the bottom of the shoes. Then safety pin the price tag to a shoe lace or through the shoe eyelet. Put the shoes and price tag inside a ziploc bag to keep them together. Also, you may zip tie the shoes together for better control if they will not fit into a plastic bag.

Bedding and Blankets

It is best to package a bedding set together in its original clear plastic bag with zipper. These can also be purchased at discount stores. Make sure and list all contents of the bedding set and pin them together.

Hang and pin blankets over hangers so that shoppers can see them. If they are small receiving blankets, group 2 or 3 together in a ziploc bag and seal with clear plastic tape. Safety pin or tape tag to ziploc bag.

String Tags

At Walmart: String Tags, 1 3/4 in. x 1 3/32 in., Pack Of 100. Tags are also available at Office Max, Hobby Lobby and we keep some extra on hand! Just email me AprilColeman@rhealana.com if you're having trouble finding some!

Loose Items

Bottles, bibs, rattles, socks, bows, etc group together appropriately in ziploc bags. Seal with clear packing tape. Pin or tape tag to ziploc bag. It also helps to write your consignor number and info on the ziploc with a Sharpie in case the tag comes off during the sale.

Toys, Furniture, Equipment

Must be clean and in working order (working batteries included.) Small parts must be bagged and attached to the main part very securely. If parts get separated it will not sell. Games should be taped closed. Puzzles, books, videos and small toys should be grouped accordingly and put in ziploc bags. Secure with clear packing tape and pin tag to the ziploc bag. It is also good to write your consignor number and info on the ziploc bag with a Sharpee in case the tag comes off. Puzzles should be wrapped securely in clear Saran wrap to keep the pieces intact. TOYS NOT PACKAGED APPROPRIATELY WILL BE TURNED AWAY.

We will only accept Beanie Baby, Disney or other name brand stuffed animals in like new condition.

Large Little Tikes Toys and Furniture are in high demand! When tagging large toys it is best to also attach a piece of masking tape to the toy with your consignor information. This will enable us to sell your toy even if the tag comes off! We sell 95% of Toys, Furniture and Baby Equipment!

Toy recall information- Due to the high number of toy recalls during the past year, we will be inspecting toys very carefully. We reserve the right to pull any toy that we think might have been recalled. To help us, please do not bring any toys that have been subject to a recall. Car Seats

Your car seat must have been manufactured within the past five years. You must be the ORIGINAL OWNER. It must not be subject to recall or have been in an accident. You may check the following website for current recalls: www.carseat.org/Recalls/179NP.pdf All seat covers and straps must be thoroughly cleaned. You will be asked to sign a car seat waiver stating your car seat has all the pieces and is in excellent condition and not more than five years old. Car seats will be closely inspected for safety reasons.

Furniture Nook!

The furniture nook has been very popular! In addition to wonderful children's furniture, now we are carrying furniture for your entire home. In an effort to maintain excellent quality we will be very selective in the items we accept.

May I bring recalled items?

No, we ask that you refer to the Consumer Product Safety Commission website and make sure your items have not been recalled. We care immensely about the safety of children! We also have recall books available for you to refer to while you are in the store.
